My baby boy is growing up. So fast, sometimes I can't believe it. And when you turn four in Bennett's world, you have many celebrations. First there were treats at school on Tuesday so that he could celebrate with all of his DELC friends. Today, on his actual birthday, we had an all day birthday affair.
There was skyping with Grammie after breakfast while he opened presents.
The theme of year four looks likes it's shaping up to be dinosaurs. There were dinosaur books and 3D dinosaur lands and a stuffed dinosaur and lots of other wonderful things thrown in for good measure.
After presents there was a trip to the local "beach" - an Animas River sandbar - with Daddy for some swimming and then after nap we met some friends in the park for gluten-free cupcakes and manic sugar-high running around merriment.
And best yet, Grammie comes in next week, just in time for Bennett's big birthday party at the local rec center pool. Stay tuned for more birthday fun...
