Halloween!!

Hip Hip Hooray!  It's Halloween!

I actually don't get that excited about Halloween but it's Brett's favorite holiday so I try to be super enthusiastic!  Plus, it's really fun when you have little ones.

This year's festivities started off with a DELC school parade for Bennett & Callie.

And then after school the fun really started!

Our good friends, the Erwins & the Devitres, host a Halloween party each year since they have prime real estate for the trick or treating.  Our neighborhood would probably be good too, but 3rd Ave is ridiculously cute and festive and it just feels good to be there and hang out with our friends.

how cute are these two?  and they both actually smiled for me.   amazing.

Such a fun group!

And then it was time to trick or treat.  

Let me paint a picture for you of how this went down...

There are hundreds of kids.  And long lines at some house to get the candy.  And it's sorta crazy and exciting and everyone is pumped up.

And then there's Bennett, at the front of the line.  Slowly going through each and every basket at each and every house, holding up a piece of candy and asking "Is this gluten free?"

hahahaha, it cracked me up

but I think it sort of irritated everyone else

oh well

  c. mae didn't last long so she got a ride from daddy for most of the trick or treating

Lots of fun!  Wonder what we'll be next year...
