My mom, Gwen (aka, Grammie), retired in February and we were lucky enough to have her stay with us for a couple of a weeks.. She has always had a very special bond with Bennett (he proposed marriage during this visit, seriously...) but this was the first time that Callie really understood the wonderment that is Grammie. And Callie is hooked! I heard "Grandma!!" way more than "Mama" over the past two weeks. There was a lot of laughter, hugs and endless hours of games. And now that Grammie has returned to Missouri, there have been lots of tantrums, tears and endless questions on when she is going to return (the answer is "in 11 days". for the bluegrass festival in telluride. yes we are very very lucky!!!). We love our Grammie!
