Happy Father's Day!

Usually Durango hosts Thomas the Train on Father's Day weekend but this year we had a visit from the PBS show, The Dinosaur Train.  Bennett was a bit bummed about Thomas but he loves the Dinosaur Train too so it all worked out in the end.

My favorite thing about this photo: neither one knew the other was making this face while I was taking the picture.  I seriously gave birth to mini-BZ.  So Weird...

We were lucky enough to ride in a train car with our good friends, Jill, Edie & Owen.

my girl

We rode the train for about 20 minutes and ended up at a little "Dino Village" just past town.  There were all sorts of fun activities for the kiddos.  There were giant dinosaurs representing the different characters, a couple of bouncy houses, a tent for excavating dino bones, a press-on tattoo parlor and a big sand box where the kids could dig for buried shark teeth.  Bennett wanted to go to each and every exhibit (a first!!!) and had a great time running around.  Callie, not so much, but she's two.
Whadya gonna do?

someone was very very excited to get his picture taken with buddy, the star of the dinosaur train!

All in all it was a super fun day!  It was especially fun because for the first year Bennett was really into all of the activities.  He was super pumped to be there and his attitude made all the difference in the world.

And of course, it wouldn't have been nearly as fun without this guy.  Our daddy is the best!  And we're so very glad we have him!  Love you lots BZ xoxox
