147 Riverview Drive

We've had lots of requests for new house pictures so here are a few. 

The house itself is a giant U.  One side of the U is the "kids' wing".  There is Callie's Bedroom, the Playroom, Bennett's Bedroom and the Main/Guest Bathroom.  The bottom of the U is the Kitchen, the Dinning Room, the Guest Room and the Living Room, all in one long line.  The other side of the U is the Study, the Master bath and the Master Bedroom.  We had to complete rip out the Study/Master area and although it is nearly done and very livable, it's not quite as pretty as it will be in another month or two so we're going to make you wait for those pictures.

The house was built in the '50's and it's very mid-century modern in appearance and decoration.  It sits on a bluff overlooking the Animas River.  It's a single level ranch-style house and about 3,100 square feet.  There is a small unfinished basement and a two car garage.  All in all, it's very different from the Hesperus Cabin but we love it!

it used to have the cutest thomas the train stickers all along the wall.  he got bored during nap time one day and now there are none.

yes, it's much better than bennett's.  she will be a 15yo girl some day and truthfully, it's for the good of the family.  and i'm sure bennett will have a better car.

the guest room/office is off of the dining room.  small but functional.  and probably loud.  very loud.  we have earplugs.  come visit!

my beautiful bathtub in the master bath.  why yes, i do spend a lot of time in it.  why yes, i do want to make out with it on occasion.  the ceiling is tongue and groove aspen - an homage to the hesperus house.

jack & jill sinks that match the tubs; door leading out to hall/bedroom; no toilet picture included.  it's between the tub and the shower.  imagine it people.  it's a small room with a toilet in it.

the view from our backyard; not including the big peaks or the big bridge that connects our side of the river trail to the other side across the animas river.  the concrete trail you see is the 'river trail' that connects most of the town together.  it takes about 30 seconds to reach it from our house.  yes, we do love and appreciate our mod house and our amazing views.  we are very very blessed.
