Tonight was the Spring Program at Bennett's preschool, Durango Early Learning Center (DELC). This was his first year at DELC and we have been so happy with the sense of community that this little school has provided for Bennett. The kids are assigned a teacher and a classroom based on age. Bennett spends each morning in the Green Room with the other 3 year olds learning about different letters, numbers and working on social/emotional skills. Then in the afternoon they have the opportunity to interact with all of the other kids and teachers in the school when they switch classrooms and do art projects and have free time to play. So with over 70 kids in the school, Bennett knows each of them by name and has established some very solid friendships. It is clear that the teachers love the kids and they give it their all everyday. We feel so blessed to have found this sweet place!
